Downloading Tips

Downloading Your Sheet Music

You will receive a download link via email after purchasing. The email will be sent the email address you specify when you order. You need to follow the link in the email to download your file.

If you experience any problems with downloading, please read the tips on the rest of this page before contacting us. It is extremely rare for a download issue to be caused by anything on our end.

Downloading on a Tablet or Phone

If you download the sheet music on a tablet, you will probably need a file explorer app to access it. Unless you have already installed one, you will likely need to install one in order to download and use our sheet music on a mobile device. Read this article for more information.

Opening Files Instead of Downloading

Make sure you are actually downloading the file rather than opening it. If your browser gives you a choice of downloading or opening the file, make sure you choose to download it. If you don't see that option, try right clicking on the download link and selecting "Save Link As" (or the equivalent in your browser).

Is Your Download Blocked By Security Software or Policies?

If you use a firewall, antivirus software, or other security software, you may need to adjust your settings to download the file.

Browser plugins like ad and script blockers may also interfere with your ability to download. Try temporarily disabling them and attempt the download again. You can enable them again after downloading.

Some workplaces (especially schools and government offices) may have security restrictions that prevent you from downloading or using files. You need to contact your network administrator for help with this. Otherwise, you will need to download your file at home or through another network outside of your workplace.

Try Downloading on a Different Computer

If a download isn't working on one computer, try downloading on another if possible. It's possible the problem is caused by settings, security software, etc. on your computer.

Try Downloading Later

It's possible that a temporary connection issue could prevent you from downloading. Wait awhile and try again later.

The File Is Corrupt

If you receive an error that the file is corrupt when trying to open it, here are a few things to try:

  • Try downloading it again. Sometimes a file doesn't download properly due to a temporary connection issue. Downloading again may resolve this.
  • If you purchased an ebook bundle, make sure the ZIP file has been unzipped before opening.
  • Use a program that can open PDF files.
